Health and Liability Insurance
For your stay in Germany, you must have valid health insurance!
The Summer University is unable to cover the costs in the event of illness or damage. Please make sure to have valid overseas health insurance before starting your travels.
If not, you can take out insurance with your course registration. In addition to your health insurance, we also recommend you to acquire liability insurance, so that you are insured for damages/losses.
You can find more information about this insurance protection on the homepage of our partner MAWISTA.
Visa
If you need a visa for entry into Germany, you will have to apply for it well in advance (list of countries requiring visa). For the duration of the summer university, you may enter Germany with a tourist visa. If you are planning a longer period for attending language courses or studying, it is necessary to have a visa for study purposes. Please obtain information regarding these visa issues from your German embassy or consulate.
As soon as we receive payment of your course fees, we will send you a document confirming your attendance which you can submit to your embassy or consulate.
